Key Responsibilities

Viral, Offline, Community — DOR's Three Growth Pillars

The fastest paths to acquisition are meeting people in person and making word-of-mouth move. The Growth Operator Intern owns both. This isn't a behind-the-desk analyst seat — you'll be out at campuses, PC bangs, and gamer events.

  • Ship 1-2 small experiments a week and share the result the following week.
  • Events, campaigns, and content go live by your hand.

The Growth Operator Intern is a hands-on operator who grows DOR's user base. Not an analyst role — a role that gathers people, ships content, and creates word-of-mouth.

What the Growth Operator Does

  • Viral campaigns: Plan and run referrals, challenges, clip-sharing campaigns, and other word-of-mouth loops.
  • Offline events: Plan and execute gamer meetups, campus tours, PC bang collabs, and booth operations.
  • Community ops: Run Discord, Instagram, X, and KakaoTalk open chats, and talk with gamers directly.
  • Creator & gamer seeding: Reach out to creators and gamers who'd try DOR and send collaboration proposals.
  • User interviews: Organize qualitative feedback collected at events, DMs, and surveys, and share with the team.
  • Outcome notes: Keep simple records of what worked and propose the next thing to try.

What Matters Most in This Role

We value execution sense for gathering people and shipping content on the ground over analytical depth.

  • An attitude of running ideas small, even if rough, before perfecting them
  • Care for the small details that make events and campaigns enjoyable
  • A natural sense for gamer and creator language and memes
  • Friendliness that lets you chat comfortably with strangers in a community

What You'll Experience

Marketing for a real product

  • Make campaigns and events for a product used by 2M+ global gamers.
  • See Korean vs. global gamers' reactions live, in the field.

Growth in the field

  • Gather real people at campuses, PC bangs, and gamer events — not just behind a desk.
  • Watch your own campaigns spread (or not) through SNS and community channels.

The fastest path to full-time

  • Strong performance leads to a full-time Growth Manager conversion after the internship.
  • On a small growth team, even an intern owns one or two campaigns/events end-to-end.

How We Work

  • We prefer shipping something small over writing the perfect plan.
  • Event and campaign results are treated as material for "how do we run the next one better?" rather than report cards.
  • Interns don't get small work. If you plan an event or campaign, you also run it.
  • For attempts that didn't land, we ask "what did you learn?" before "who's responsible?"

Qualifications

  • No education requirements (currently enrolled students welcome)
  • Genuine interest in gaming, social media, and creator culture
  • Basic Korean and English communication
  • Comfortable running events in person or posting content on social media
  • An attitude that asks "What should we try this week?" first

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience gathering people through your own SNS, Discord, club, or community
  • Experience planning or running offline events (meetups, workshops, campus events, booths)
  • Experience making your own short-form videos, card news, or meme content
  • Experience pitching collaborations to creators or influencers
  • Comfort operating SNS in English or conducting user interviews in English
  • Basic familiarity with Excel, GA4, Mixpanel, or similar tools
  • Experience using AI tools (Cursor, Claude, ChatGPT) for research or content creation
  • Interest in converting to a full-time Growth Manager role

You'd Be a Great Fit If You Are...

  • Someone who wants to ship ideas small, even if rough
  • Someone who genuinely loves gamer and creator community language and memes
  • Someone comfortable chatting with strangers at offline events
  • Someone who has shipped content on SNS, Discord, or community channels
  • Someone who wants to leave their own signature campaign or event during the internship

What to Highlight in Your Resume

  • Campaigns, events, or content you led -- feel free to share regardless of scale.
  • Stories like "I gathered people this way" or "this post happened to do well" are welcome.
  • If you've been active in communities, clubs, or SNS channels, share links.
  • Tell us your personal motivation for caring about gaming, social media, or creator culture.
