Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and produce short-form video templates specialized for game videos.
  • Design effects, transitions, captions, and visual elements using After Effects and Premiere Pro.
  • Improve template quality and usability so users can create better results more easily.
  • Analyze which templates and effects generate higher engagement based on data and feedback, and iterate improvements.
  • Collaborate with PM, designers, engineers, and operations to ensure templates connect to the actual product experience.
  • Create DOR's unique video language by reflecting game-specific aesthetics, user preferences, and short-form trends.
Key Challenges in This Role

We're looking for someone who designs templates and effects that many users can use, rather than someone who just makes great videos.

  • Enabling gamers to create impressive videos without advanced editing skills
  • Capturing different game aesthetics and scenes effectively in short-form video language
  • Creating output that people actually want to share, not just flashy effects
  • Building structures where templates are repeatedly used, not just one-off pretty designs
  • Connecting short-form trends into the product's creation experience
Products You'll Build
Automatic Gameplay Recording (Record)
  • Enable users to automatically capture moments they don't want to miss.
  • Make event-based automatic recording more accurate and seamless.
  • The goal is to create an experience where "it just records well without any setup."
Game Video Creation (Create)
  • Turn auto-generated clips into short, watchable videos.
  • Design the product so that the output is satisfying even without manual editing.
  • Create an experience where content is completed without "tedious and difficult editing."
Game Video Editor (Edit)
  • Design effects and UX specialized for game video editing.
  • Build a product that isn't as complex as professional tools but maintains high output satisfaction.
  • Aim for a creation experience where anyone can quickly produce video content.
Sharing Experience (Share)
  • Make it easy for users to share created videos with friends and communities.
  • Design the experience so it doesn't end at video creation but leads to actual sharing and viewing.
How We Work
  • DOR builds products that customers want, not products the CEO wants.
  • We form hypotheses, build, measure, learn, and repeat in short 1-2 week iterations.
  • We build products with autonomy and accountability, based on data and user feedback.
  • Designers don't just create deliverables -- they define problems and create results.
  • We build fast, experiment fast, and adjust direction fast.
  • We obsessively focus on creating content experiences that make users want to share more easily.
